Self-Empowerment

You Are Stronger Than You Think

Most insecurities are superficial and are driven by irrational fears, but we all have moments when we could use a confidence boost and power up in a positive way that will make us feel more empowered and ready for anything.

The truth is, all you have to do is show up in the right way, with the right intention and an open-minded attitude.

So tap into that infinite energy, inner wisdom and awaken your inner warrior.

Why breathwork builds confidence

Confidence is not something you either have or don’t have. It is a state of body and mind, and you can train it. When we feel insecure, the breath becomes short and high in the chest, the shoulders rise and the mind starts to worry. When we breathe slowly and deeply from the belly, the nervous system receives the signal that we are safe. From that calm and grounded place, it becomes much easier to speak up, to make decisions and to trust yourself.

A short practice to awaken your inner warrior

  1. Stand with your feet hip-width apart, knees slightly bent, and feel the ground under your feet.
  2. Breathe in deeply through the nose, letting the belly, ribs and chest expand.
  3. Breathe out slowly through the mouth and let your shoulders drop.
  4. Repeat 10 times. With every exhale, imagine letting go of doubt and fear.
  5. Finish by sitting for two minutes in silence and repeat silently: I am strong, I am calm, I am ready.

Meditation: confidence from the inside

Meditation teaches you to observe your thoughts instead of believing every one of them. Most insecurities are just old thought patterns. When you see them clearly, they lose their power. Practise a few minutes every day and you will notice that you become more stable, more present and more yourself.
